Brave Swiss Diver Swims With a Huge Anaconda Which Could Possibly Eat Him Alive

The anaconda is the largest snake in the world. It can grow up to 25 feet long and can weigh up to 500 pounds. Normally, it would wrap itself around its prey until it suffocates to death and then swallow it whole. However, one man showed braveness (or stupidity) when he swam with one. He tried to prove that these creatures are not scary as they seem.

Swiss diver and snake enthusiast, Franco Banfi said that the serpent did not pay much attention to them in the water as it had just eaten. He was dangerously close to the snake and anyone would think that it could have swallowed him any moment.

Further along the exploration was Daniel De Granville who said that anacondas are actually shy when there are humans. They are just as fearful of people as people are scared of them.

Banfi revealed that going very near the anaconda scared him at first because he did not know what it could do to him. This animal is usually portrayed as vicious in many Hollywood movies.

“But after a while, you understand that nothing happens if you respect the snake. I have never been so close to a snake like this before. But I think a small poisonous snake is scarier than a big one. At least you can see the anacondas clearly and know what they’re doing,” he stated.

In addition to the big one seen in the photos, he was also able to see six more different female anacondas on his 10-day trip to the Mato Grosso do Sul (Thick Forest of the South). Many tourists go to the spot to witness its diverse and beautiful environment.

The diver may have survived the exploration alive, but it is not recommended to imitate what he did. As they say, it’s better to be safe than sorry. This creature is unpredictable and you don’t know for sure what can happen if you encounter them while they are hungry.

What can you say about the diver? Do you think he is brave for what he did? Could the snake have still stayed away from him if it hasn’t eaten? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
