Hindi hayop ang anak ko – Grieving Father Accuses PGH Doctors of Malpractice, Killing His Baby Daughter!
A mourning father has gone on Facebook to accuse the doctors and nurses in charge of his baby’s care of malpractice.
This netizen shared how he was mourning the loss of his lively baby daughter. A doctor from the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) discovered the little girl had Hirschprung’s disease. This is a condition that affects a baby’s colon and causes problems when expelling stool.
The parents didn’t want to admit their baby in the hospital. However a head surgeon said that she would move their papers forward and convinced them otherwise. They were told that their baby’s schedule check up was on July 14.
When they admitted their daughter, the father revealed the alleged awful treatment his baby received. He claims, in graphic detail, that his little princess was pierced with multiple injections by nurses and other intern doctors. That doctors had to ‘cut her neck’ just to fit her with a dextrose tube. These alleged malpractices appeared because the little girl was chubby.
But that wasn’t the worst of it.
The father revealed that the baby was admitted on July 2 but her surgery was scheduled on July 6th. Doctors described how the surgery would happen: surgeons would pull the affected area of the baby girl’s large intestine and remove the ineffective part to help ease the girl’s passing of stool.
The following day after surgery, the baby contracted a high fever (with a temperature of 38.7) and her bellyswelled up. These developments were reported immediately. On July 10, they had the baby go through an X-Ray scan and discovered that they had botched the surgery because the poor girl had air in her stomach. Then doctors advised the parents that the little girl would need a colostomy. The following day doctors prepped for surgery in the O.R. when officials of the anesthesiology department scolded them because the baby was severely dehydrated.
