A Nigerian man recently made headlines when he was caught carrying cocaine, valued at nearly $150,000, in a roasted chicken.
Traveling from Sao Paolo, he was caught at the airport in Lagos, Nigeria.
The suspect was surprised that the authorities were able to find the drugs. He noted it took him three days to pack inside the chicken. And further said that he wanted to move back, settle in Nigeria and be with his family.
Although the use of roasted chicken is creative, other methods for smuggling drugs in the past have been just as unusual. Some drug dealers in South Russia used a cat to send drugs inside the prison.
Another novel way to hide drugs was employed by a 34-year-old man from Long Beach who was busted at the Los Angeles International Airport.
Agents found a large box in the man's luggage during inspection and opened it to find 45 separately wrapped Snickers bars full of drugs.
