CROCODILE ATTACK MAN'S LEG IN MALAYSIA

A crocodile attack at a reptile park in Malaysia’s Sabah province has left a worker with a severed leg and other injuries.

The incident occurred February 20 at the Sandakan Crocodile Farm in the country’s Sabah state. The culprit? An ageing, 1,700 pound monster named Bujang Lapok.

Things started out normally enough, when at around a quarter-to-two in the afternoon the part-time worker brought a bucket of chicken to its enclosure.

Having fed the giant crocodile, he went in to pat its snout. Tragically, he misread the animal’s behaviour; it whipped around and seized his arm in its jaws.

The attack continued. Hearing the man’s screams, park staff rushed to the enclosure to help as the crocodile mauled his right leg.

One brave worker somehow forced the croc to release the man’s savaged leg … but it has been ripped off below the knee.

The trainer survived the attack, but there is hope of reattaching his leg. His arm was also badly damaged. He was five months through his brief six-month contract at the park, and yet he’ll carry this gruesome injury for the rest of his life.
